Margareth Bergamin, Registered Psychologist

Everyone has a sense of direction, an inner compass rooted in who they are and guiding where they want to go. But sometimes, we lose our footing: thoughts that won't settle, feelings too big to hold, behaviours we can't quite explain, relationships caught in patterns we didn't choose, until one day, we no longer recognize ourselves. None of it is random. It's shaped by our life experiences, including how we were raised, the culture we grew up in, and the challenges we've faced along the way. Knowing how we got here can help us make sense of our lives, but it doesn't mean we have to stay where we are. We can still choose a different path forward.

This is where I can help. Therapy, to me, is a collaborative relationship, somewhere where we can be curious, reflect together, and make sense of your story, at a pace that feels right for you. You get to decide what is worth holding onto and where you truly want to go. Together, we can build on the strengths you already have while creating new paths where they’re needed, so you feel grounded enough to face what comes next, finding hope along the way.

I say all this as a psychologist, but beyond my qualifications, what draws me to this work is my genuine faith in your capacity for growth. I've seen people find their way through things that once felt impossible, and that gives me hope for the work we can do together. I care deeply about the people I work with, and that means showing up authentically, holding space for whatever's going on in your life. My approach is integrative, drawing from CBT, DBT, narrative, feminist, and sociocultural perspectives so we can look at what's going on inside you and around you, and discover what will help you move forward. Wherever you're starting from, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.
